Check out this great new post from Dr. Juliette Hahn, CFO and COO at Cambrian Bio, and former speaker at the Health of Women Investor Summit. “The science is ready, and the funding is materializing. TIME Magazine: Ovaries Could Unlock Secrets of Longevity

You’ll see Dr. Piraye Beim at NASDAQ next month, so we wanted to re-share this great article from TIME.

Beim started to dig into the history of women’s health and what she calls the “normalization” of menopause, and she became increasingly indignant. “There’s nothing normal about it. Menopause is just as ‘normal’ and ‘natural’ as having tooth decay, osteoarthritis, heart disease, cancer,” she says.

Advocate and SWHR Board Member Lauren Ruotolo

Lauren Ruotolo posted while participating in a rare disease clinical trial in her 1993 hoodie:

Woohoo, I finished my first clinical trial, so wearing this fabulous sweatshirt for Women’s History Month felt especially meaningful. This sweatshirt says 1993 - the year women were finally allowed to be included in clinical trials.

As a board member of
@swhr_official who also just finished my first clinical trial for my rare disease, this feels really personal — because SWHR helped make sure women were finally included in clinical trials, and without that work, I would never have had the chance to be part of one this week.

We’ve made progress, but there is still so much more to do when it comes to research, funding, and making women’s health a real priority. I’m grateful for organizations like Women’s Health Advocates that are helping keep this momentum going and pushing the conversation forward.

Thank you women health mentor
@jjfeds for creating these sweatshirts and for continuing to push for more funding in women’s health. Can’t wait for your event on the 17th.

Proud. Grateful. Never done advocating until we are all treated and funded equally.

Women’s Health Trailblazer Melissa Fayer

Melissa Fayer posted recently in her 1993 hoodie, commemorating the year the US passed the NIH revitalization Act requiring women and minorities to be included in federally funded research. The back of this hoodie says “We owe women decades of scientific advancements.” Check out the rest of the new Health of Women Investor Swag at the link below.
